I got a call from the Kenyan Embassy in Rome requesting to share my contacts with an organisation….about the same time an Auditor associate of mine communicated to me about this organisation in Rome looking for collaborations with a fashion designer from Kenya. It turned out that it was the same project and that both parties had suggested to me. Working with and in the African spirit project by Salambo gave a completely different turn in my clothesline style. I gave a full focus on the traditional fabrics used in EAST AFRICA: Kenya Uganda and Tanzania. Most of these outfits are made from kitenge, kikoyi and the masai kanga .
